Transformations Are My Favorite

I am back after feeling under the weather for the past few days. Safe to report that I have still been walking (except Saturday) and I have still been eating healthy, and drinking water! I am excited for this week's weigh in, as it will be two weeks since I weighed myself. Shark week is a terrible time to weigh yourself, so I decided to skip it.

I have had a lot on the go even with feeling under the weather. I wanted to share with you that I have a Barbie collection. It began in 2023 when I made a Barbie version of my best friend for her birthday for a laugh. I was really sad when it was over. I kept some of the shoes I had purchased for the doll, and could not bring myself to through them away.

In the beginning of 2024, we started having some girls over to play and hang out, and I started gathering Barbies for them. Suddenly, it grew into me keeping some nostalgic ones for myself. Now I have so many, I honestly can't count them. I rescue donated Barbies. I switch some heads, I fix some hair.

I hope to get into re-painting, re-rooting, and sewing clothes for them. A weird hobby to start in your 30s, but there are grandmothers I speak to online all over the world who started collecting Barbies for themselves when their granddaughters came over to play. Many of them stage them in dioramas or in fake situations.

For me, personally, I want to make as many Barbie transformations as I can. I love transformations. I take pictures of my rooms before I clean them just for the high of seeing how much I did. Likewise, I have some pretty good before photos of myself for after I lose a desired amount of weight.

There is something really soothing about fixing doll hair. I found the best shampoo and conditioner from Dollarama, and it smells like a ritzy hotel shampoo. I am just learning how to style their hair as well. Perfect for someone like me who was probably destined to be a professional hair braider. It's just too fun. I hope Waverly or Laela wants their hair braided again in the future.

Anyways, that is it for now.

p.s. if you have dolls in your house, and want to repair their hair, I highly recommend these! They are for frizzy and curly hair. I have used fabric softener which was suggested to me, but that doesn't do nearly as much as this shampoo and conditioner.

I used HOT water, I lather the shampoo, rinse, condition through and use my fingers as a comb, rinse, and add a little bit more after I have squeezed out as much water as I can. It's like leave-in conditioner. For best results, try to comb the hair as well as you can before you wash it.
